The use of signs: Though the signs used in this video could be seen as "overselling the point", I believe that they serve two primary purposes. In the beginning of the video, they compliment the sound used to add depth to the rhythm. Without the images, the sound seems out of place, and without the sound or image the rhythm becomes monotonous. In the ladder part of the video, I use the signs on top of other images to emphasize the feeling of being overwhelmed by control.
The dark hand: While I did seriously consider changing the red hand so that it would show more of the background, I realized that the dark effect added an ominous if not overbearing feel that I wanted to convey.
